About Snake Rescue Force
Dedicated to wildlife conservation and community safety since 2014
Our Story
Snake Rescue Force was founded by Pratap Das, a passionate wildlife activist based in Bansberia, Namajghar, Trishbigha, West Bengal. What started as a personal mission to protect snakes from being killed out of fear has grown into a comprehensive wildlife rescue service covering the entire Hooghly district and beyond.
With over a decade of experience, Pratap has rescued thousands of snakes and other wildlife, safely relocating them to their natural habitats. His work has saved countless lives — both human and animal — and has helped change community attitudes toward snakes and wildlife.
Our Mission
To provide safe, humane wildlife rescue services while promoting coexistence between humans and wildlife through education and awareness.
Our Vision
A world where every snake and wild animal is treated with respect, and communities have the knowledge to live safely alongside wildlife.

Speed
Emergency situations require rapid response. We arrive as quickly as possible to ensure safety.
Education
Knowledge is the key to coexistence. We educate communities to reduce fear and prevent harm.
Conservation
Protecting biodiversity is at the heart of everything we do. Every rescue supports ecosystem health.
Community Awareness
Understanding snakes is the first step toward coexistence. Here are the facts every community should know.
Know the Facts
- Snakes are vital to the ecosystem — they control rodent populations and maintain natural balance.
- Over 80% of snake species in India are non-venomous and completely harmless to humans.
- Snakes do not attack humans unprovoked. They bite only in self-defense when threatened or cornered.
Spread the Word
- Never kill a snake — it is illegal under Indian wildlife law and harms the ecosystem.
- Never attempt to catch or handle a snake without professional training.
- Never rely on home remedies or traditional healers for snake bites — seek hospital care immediately.
